We place significant emphasis on the use of oils rich in ideal ratios of essential fatty acids for the purposes of healing, but what other desirable attributes qualify a plant oil for use in my kitchen?
Grape seed oil is a delicious alternative to olive oil with a lighter taste and greater versatility at high temperatures due to its high smoke point. When I make cooked foods for friends and family I often turn to grape seed oil because its relative heat stability means less molecular degeneration and consequently less depletion of the body's antioxidant resources by free radicals. Personally, I love making salads with half olive oil and half grape seed oil. I find it brings out incredible flavors in raw vegetables, giving my foods a certain je ne sais quoi.
Grape seed oil is very high in linolenic acid, an essential nutrient responsible for critical functions and protection from chronic disease. Used topically, grape seed oil helps to restore healthy tissue by virtue of its antioxidant content, and is a useful treatment for stretch marks and varicose veins.
Stay posted- I will be sharing a recipe that uses our great grape seed oil.

Hi Nunya,
Thanks for your question. I offer raw cooking classes quite often. We are figuring out when our next class will be but you can keep up-to-date with events at Karyn's on our website at www.karynraw.com/events. Also, I have an entire YouTube station called "KarynRaw" which has lots of food preparation videos. Let me know after you check out my station and please keep in touch.
XO Karyn
