It feels like I'm taking my body (outer as well as inside) on an exciting weekly anticipatory adventure. Some of the rewards along this journey are:
-less saliva secretion -less day and sleep time nasal drainage -less knee pain (arthritis and meniscus tear) -very significantly improved back strength (herniated disk-chronic)
-a little weight loss finally- YEA-A-A-A-A-Ah -introduced to health drinks and products and daily raw food dining -lightness and overall well-being
Before I started the 30-day detox, I was determined to start, go through, and complete the program. As of this third week, I've turned neither to the left nor right. I've not craved or been tempted by anything outside the program.
My goal is to continue healthy care of this temple God has granted me. The Bible says my body is fearfully and wonderfully made. I do not want to misuse this once in a lifetime (& eternity) gift.
It is really an accomplishment for Karyn to take a small building and develop a feasible floor plan of numerous rooms. Though not huge, each room feels spacious. I cannot begin to imagine Karyn's disappointments, hardships, and criticisms while establishing her businesses but I declare it is a beautiful, magnificent and remarkable achievement.
I and others, thank Karyn for caring about us, inspire of our reluctancy and lack of understanding, for encouraging us to understand and care about ourselves, and for providing us with access to a healthier life.

Thank you for being such a great facilitator. I enjoyed and got so much out of the "chatter" as one attendee put it. It is actually as important as the protocol because I hear what others have experienced and often times I respond with a revelation that the same thing was happening to me but I had been unconscious about it. Hearing others report their findings also helped me to be encouraged about what is possible for me if I keep going through the layers of toxicity. So I thank you for making "chatter" a part of the sessions.
I didn't have any miracles happen to me expect that the Oil Of Oregano really helped me with the pain in my side. It might just be caused by gas. Also, I breathe better and my meditation is more focused. Perhaps after fasting, I will see the results spiritually. My skin is clear and bright. I lost my taste for coffee. Unfortunately, I was not very sharp in fact I forgot names but I suppose that is just a part of my process and that it will get better. I am a bit lethargic because I continued to take my medication. Perhaps now the dose is too much. Also, I became so creative. I will be back in July and October for more rounds but I will definitely stay raw as long as I can.
Recently, the doctors found a tumor on my kidney but it turned out to be benign. It was a fatty tumor. I plan to continue a raw diet because I am afraid that tumors can turn malignant with an unhealthy body. I have scoliosis and it has been uncomfortable for me to sit and stand tall but with the increased flexibility it has become more comfortable to straighten up.
I am so happy I live in Chicago and can attend classes and benefit from your expertise and the book is a gem.

I grew up in a meat and dairy eating country--Russia. Having meat, chicken or dairy a few times every day is not only considered normal, but also healthy. Kids are taught that beef is good for them at a young age, and thinking otherwise was considered to be crazy. Rarely published state-sponsored research articles also came to conclusions that the benefits of meat far outweighed the negatives.
As a child, I, like most kids my age, never concerned myself with healthy eating. I never associated any health problems with food habits and always found other reasons to explain ailments. It was not until I had serious problems with my hair that I started to think about my diet.
I had thick and beautiful hair at a young age, by the age of 14, I suddenly started losing it and had less than half of it left by the age of 20. The situation didn't change much after coming to the United States--my hair kept falling and I had problems with dry skin. I was concerned about it- I tried different shampoos and conditioners, hair marks, various oils, worrying about treating the symptoms more than the actual problem. My diet didn't change- I continued eating fast food, meat, drank milk almost daily, certain that it had nothing to do with my problems.
In summer 2011 a friend of mine gave me Victoria Butenko's book 12 Steps to Raw Food, after which I read Arnold Ehret's The Mucusless Diet Healing System (because Butenko mentioned him in her book).
These two books blew my mind and opened my eyes to the importance of diet. I tried to become vegetarian right away...and failed. It's difficult to abandon 25 years worth of eating habits at once. I decided to start looking for vegetarian/vegan restaurants and groups in Chicago and that's how I found out about Karyn Calabrese. Her looks alone were very convincing. After a first free info session I gave up eating mat, after a second one- dairy. But I couldn't give up fish and other sea food and I felt that I didn't have to because I lost 5 pounds and was feeling much better. In January, I had a live-cell analysis test. Surprisingly, my results were much worse than I expected. Finally, I decided to sign up for a March Detox Class and it was the best decision I ever made. Even though I had many ups and downs during detox (bronchitis, acne, low energy, cravings for sugar), I'm proud that I was able to do it right and finished it with a three day fast.
The most noticeable achievements I've had: hair stopped falling out and now is growing faster and fuller, skin cleared up, I lost additional 5 pounds and now my body is the way it was when I was 21.
I'm more than happy with the results and already looking forward to another detox in a few months.
I can't thank Karyn enough for creating a safe zone where everyone can find healing and support. My only regret is that I didn't find out about Karyn earlier.
