Ingredients
- 1 cup almonds
- 2 cups water
- ½ teaspoon real vanilla
- 1-2 tablespoons raw honey or agave
Directions
- Soak almonds in 2 cups water over night, drain water and rinse. Put water and almonds in blender and let blender run for at least 30 seconds. Strain through a nut milk bag, a sieve lined with a cheesecloth or a knee high stocking or you can run through a twin gear juicer with the vegetable screen (save the pulp to make cookies). Add vanilla and sweetener and whisk
- Raw milks can be made from almost any nut or seed ~ experiment with your favorite
- If you are diabetic or watching your sugar intake, stevia is a good substitute for the honey or agave , but you’ll only need a small amount. Follow directions on stevia package and sweeten to taste
